Wash Allen's Pecan Pralines from Gussie's Kitchen began
in the kitchen of one-time successful restaurateur Gussie
Jefferson. A friend and fan of Gussie's delicious down home
cooking for many years, Wash suggested to Gussie that she
market this wonderfully delicious pecan praline candy! As
a legendary radio personality, talk show host, and entertainer
in his own right, Wash Allen used his name, notoriety and
popularity to promote the project and Wash Allen's Pecan
Pralines from Gussie's Kitchen was born!
Quality
The candy is made using the same procedures and high quality
ingredients as the original batch made in 1980. Small batches
are hand stirred and hand dipped. Gussie personally oversees
and participates in every step of the candy making process.
